I started my last day in Paris with a visit to Louis Vuitton to pick up something new. Given my love for the luxury brand, a visit to their store was on the agenda.The day started off rainy but when the weather cleared up, my sister and best friend were down for the trip to Louis Vuitton’s flagship store in Champs-Élysées.

We arrived to find a line outside to enter the store. Thankfully, it was no longer raining and the line moved quickly. The store was pretty busy and the interior design, from the walls to the ceiling, was so unique. After chatting with a consultant she advised I would need to go to the next level to make my purchase. We took the escalator up and after a very short wait, we were greeted by a consultant who offered us champagne while I waited for my sales consultant to assist with my purchase.
To keep myself on a budget, I told myself I’d think about out what I wanted in advance before being blindsided, and leaving with who knows what! Turned out, the wallet I had in mind was not available in store. My sales consultant Jackeline, who was such a sweetheart, was so helpful. She showed me some other wallet options, but I just wasn’t falling in love with them. Then she recommended an envelope-style shoulder bag with a beautiful gold chain. I saw this bag on the website and thought it was pretty, but I had my mind set on a wallet. The photos do not do the bag any justice. The material is Monogram Empreinte Leather, a completely different material compared to my Speedy 35 (Damier Ebene) and Neverfull (Monogram). The Monogram Empreinte Leather is a supple embossed calfskin and over time, the material becomes more beautiful. If I had to sum my new bag up in three words: classy, chic, and timeless.
What really took the cake about this bag…it comes with two removable inserts! A wallet and zipper pouch. It’s so versatile; it can be worn as a shoulder bag, crossbody, or hand-carried as a clutch (gold chain is removable), and the color goes with EVERYTHING. I am so happy with my purchase and excited to add this to my growing LV collection. A big thank you to Jackeline for coming through with a solution for a wallet, and a bonus bag as well!

The checkout process was seamless. After deciding on the Pochette Félicie, Jackeline went in the back to get my bag and met me at the counter to complete my transaction. Louis Vuitton provided me with a Global Blue envelope that had all of the information I needed to request a refund for the taxes paid. (Global Blue Tax-Free Shopping applies only when spending over €175) When it was time to travel home, there were self-service kiosks at the airport where I scanned the barcode on my envelope, and the taxes were refunded to my credit card within days.
After getting my complimentary hot stamping, “TAT” in gold on wallet insert, my visit to Louis Vuitton was over and I was headed back to the hotel to place my bag in the safe, and start my next adventure with my sister on our Food Tour.
