I’ve never been a big reader, but this year I’ve made it my resolution to read more. This isn’t the first time I’ve made this resolution…but this year I’m determined to get through my reading list.

My usual M.O. is…I’ll start a book, maybe get through the first few chapters, and months later eventually finish the book. I’ve identified that my main problem is that I don’t set aside reading time. Whether it’s every day or even weekly,  time just gets away from me while balancing a full-time job, part-time job, freelance opportunities, and a social life.

Now I’m trying a new approach…audiobooks! I thought, “great, this is how I’ll finally read books!” So far, audio has been working and I’m proud to say that I’m halfway through Becoming by Michelle Obama. I pre-ordered the hardback copy of Becoming with enthusiasm and was so ready to read it…even starting it the day I got it! But like all of my other books…it sat around and time got away from me. My Dad recommended Audible and it has been a lifesaver. My commute to work is typically 2-hours roundtrip, so I’m utilizing my time in traffic as my reading/listening time.

So my question to you…what are you reading? What must I add to my 2019 Reading List? Here’s a few I have lined up after Becoming.

Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan to Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer – Priscilla Shirer
