As I approach my 10 year anniversary as a licensed nail technician, I realized I have yet to blog about my life as a nail tech! Ten years is a long time, and when I think back to my apprentice years when I was 16…I’ve technically been doing nails for 19 years!!

In January I began planning what to do for my 35th birthday. A trip out of the country was not in the budget, and as I started brainstorming I realized the Create & Cultivate Conference was in LA the weekend of my birthday. The flight price was right, I had somewhere to stay, and would have time to hang with one of my best friends, it all just seemed meant to be. I attended Create & Cultivate solo, which was a major step out of my comfort zone, but I was ready to grow and glow.

In the fall of 2010 I attended my first information session for the Professional MBA program at Loyola University Maryland. After sitting through the information session I knew that this was where I was going to go for my Masters in Business Administration. (more…)
