I’ve been wanting to go to Europe for a while…and now I can proudly check France off my travel list! I started planning with my friends in November, and before I knew it, May arrived and I was packing my suitcase for France and Italy. I spent roughly three and a half days in Paris and the rest of the time in Italy.

I was trying to think of the best way to blog about my trip to Europe and cover all the highlights from France and Italy, so here is Day One in Paris!

Initially, I wanted to cram in all the sightseeing I could, but I quickly learned that wasn’t realistic, and not really possible if I wanted to rest at some point. After that realization, I started researching tours and day trips and made the best of every minute in Paris. As a creature of habit…my research started on Pinterest.

We arrived in Paris Sunday morning and hit the ground running to avoid jetlag. After checking in at the Le Méridien Etoile, we went on foot to search for a place for brunch. On the way, we passed a bakery and I grabbed a warm chocolate croissant. One word…AMAZING.

We had brunch at Naï Brasserie, with the Arc de Triomphe in view. After brunch, we walked over to the Arc de Triomphe, to get the full tourist experience. After that, we hopped on the Metro and headed to the Louvre.

We spent a few hours at the Louvre checking out the “must-see” exhibits, from the Winged Victory of Samothrace to the Mona Lisa and more!

In a nutshell, day one was a whirlwind, but so worth it! Up next…the French Open.
